If you have set your mailbox up as an alias account then that could also cause problems as other redneckandsingle.com may be using the same alias. If you're not sure if you have set up your mailbox as an alias, contact your Internet provider (such as AOL, BellSouth, Roadrunner). We have no way of telling you if you've set it up as an alias. An alias is when your actual email address is username8973@bellsouth.com but you've created an alias that still works with that account such as alias@bellsouth.com.
Also please be sure it's not trying to automatically fill in the email address of someone else (if you have your computer set to auto-fill and someone else has been using your computer).
Why won't it let me choose a city or state on the registration form?
You have an incompatible browser. Our site software works with the latest versions of IE, Netscape and FireFox on the PC and Netscape and Safari on the MAC. We have tested in all these environments. To download these latest browsers, please use a search engine such as yahoo or google and type in the browser name and the word "free download." Please be certain before installing a new browser to your computer that your computer system meets the minimum requirements. Please note we do not offer tech support for your questions regarding your browser or your computer operating system.

What's up with the free and then subscription?
Actually, the way we set it up is the way most dating sites do. It's free to sign up and search. Funny, none of us like working for free. Of course, you can always "flirt" for free. Just like at a real honky-tonk. For directions on this, refer to: How do I communicate with other rednecks? also found on our Problems? page.
Pay Pal
For payments, we only accept payments made through PayPal because it's very popular and very secure.
With most PayPal payments, your membership is effective instantly.
But if you select the PayPal e-check option at PayPal your Premium Redneck functions (email, instant redneck messenger and the chat room) will not be available for use until the e-check clears (again 3-4 business days). You will also be shown still as a Standard Redneck. You do not lose days on your membership during this waiting period.
Types of PayPal Payments
Instant Transfer: A transfer from your bank account, backed-up by
a credit card or secondary bank account. Transfer occurs immediately so your upgrade to Premium Redneck is effective immediately with Premium functions immediately available.

How to cancel your subscription
Your RedneckAndSingle.com subscription will be automatically extended for successive renewal periods of the same duration as the
subscription term originally selected at the then-current non-promotional subscription rate.
To cancel your subscription at any time,
click on the link "My Control Panel" located toward the top of your home page -- that's the page you get upon logging into your
account that says, "Welcome back (Your User Name)." Clicking that link will take you to your control panel – it's the page titled,
"My Information." In the middle of that page is a series of links. The last link reads, "Cancel Subscription."
Click on that link. You will then be directed to the PayPal website. You'll be required to enter your email address and password
used to access your PayPal account. If you do not know this information, you'll need to use the links at PayPal to get it.
RedneckAndSingle.com does not have records of your PayPal login information. Upon logging into PayPal, you'll be directed on how to
cancel your subscription. The subscription will be to "AndSingle, Inc."
Any questions you have regarding how to cancel subscriptions
using PayPal should be directed to PayPal. If you cancel, you'll get subscription benefits until the end of your then-current
subscription term; your subscription won't be renewed after that term expires. However, you won't be eligible for a prorated
refund of any portion of the subscription fees paid for the then-current subscription period.
What is your refund policy?
In short, our refund policy is no stricter than other online dating sites that we're aware of.
As stated in the legal disclaimer you agreed to upon signing up on the site (it's impossible to join without checking the box you agreed to it), refunds are issued at our discretion, as this is an intangible service. Our warranty terms are defined in the legal disclaimer.
The reason we don't generally offer refunds is the same as the reason you can't get a refund on your cover charge at a honky-tonk or for your ticket after a concert. We think we've got a great thing here and so do most all of the people who are here. We've received a lot of thank-you's and other notes of appreciation for creating this site. That tells us our service is worth the money. Very few people ask us for refunds.

What can I do on redneckandsingle.com for free?
It's free to post your picture and profile. You can also "flirt" with other members for free.
The heart icon sends a flirt to the redneck member. The member will receive the following message:
After seeing your profile, (YOUR USER NAME) has expressed an interest in
getting to know you a little better, but before purchasing a membership, they would like to know whether you are interested in them.
Flirts are a service for members to express an interest in one another before making a more in-depth response.
Responding could not be simpler! View (YOUR USER NAME’S) profile and if interested, send a flirt back by clicking the flirt link at the top of the profile page.
Please remember, the second you click onto the Heart icon, the flirt is sent. So don’t click on it unless you’re sure you want to send the flirt message to the corresponding members profile.
If the member responds to your flirt with a mutual flirt, you’ll receive a message in your RedneckAndSingle Mailbox that says “Someone Is Flirting With You.”d At this point, it’s pretty much up to you if you want to upgrade to Premium Redneck so you can send that member a more detailed email to their RedneckAndSingle E-mail box (an internal not external email). It’s how you begin a real dialogue with other members, hopefully leading to a planned in person meeting. Again, the email function is accomplished by clicking on the cowboy hat / envelope icon.
I can't log in. Why?
9 times out of 10 it's cause you are typin' in the wrong username. If you are typing in the wrong password, you'll be notified by the system error. Be sure you have the username and password (SEE PASSWORD QUESTIONS BELOW FOR INFORMATION REGARDING LOST PASSWORDS). If that doesn't solve it then you may have been deleted from the system for violating the user agreement (See disclaimer link) such as posting pornography or spamming or similar other members. Or you may have deleted yourself within the system by clicking on the link that removes you from our site. You may want to check the box on the login page that reads "Remember me each visit", just below your Password info box. This way you won't have to worry about losing your information again.
If you can't find the right user name, you'll simply need to create a new account as we cannot change your username for your inside our control panel-the option doesn't exist for us and we can't retrieve your account information without it. If you are a paying member, we cannot refund your for any membership time you lose as a result of losing your username or password as we have folks trying to cheat the system.

Click the link at the bottom of the redneckandsingle.com site titled, "Dang, lost my password." It will tell you how to get your password mailed to your email.
If you don't receive it immediately, make sure you check any other possible email addresses you could have used when signing up.
If you still can't find the password email, and you are a paying member, email us your username, date of birth, your email address, your PayPal receipt transaction number, the first and last name on the PayPal account, the month the payment occurred, and the new password and email address you'd like. If when you click on "Dang, Lost my Password" and follow the directions to have it sent to you it doesn't come to you, you most likely entered the a different email address than the one you're checking for the password message. Sorry, but this is not an option without creating a new account as our records are all based on the username. If you're not a paying member, we simply suggest you create a new account. If you're currently a paying member, wait until your membership term is up and then create a new user account (in other words, go through the sign-up process again) with the new user name, as we cannot issue refunds for changing your user name.
How can I change my email address?

Adding Photos
How do I add or change my Main Photo?
(THIS IS THE SINGLE PHOTO THAT APPEARS WHEN OTHER USERS FIRST CONDUCT A SEARCH)
Click the login link in the upper right corner of the page. Enter your login info and click the "login now" button. You'll be taken to your home page.
From there, click on the "Change Profile" link in the right hand column titled, "My Account."
You will then be taken to the page titled "Place Profile." Scroll down until you see "Main Picture" and click on the button "choose file." Select the photo from your computer you wish to upload. It must be a file that is a jpeg file. Please be certain that the photo file name ends with ".jpg" or ".jpeg." Once you've selected that photo (according to the instructions indicated by your computer's operating system) then scroll to the bottom of the redneckandsingle page titled "Place Profile" and click the "submit" button.
The photo will then be submitted to us for approval. Once it's approved by RedneckAndSingle.com, (this process is not instantaneous) hopefully the person who has sent you a flirt will see it and respond by joinin' and sendin' you an email with his/her email address (if that person is a Premium Redneck member). Then you can email that person your photo.

The maximum picture size we currently allow is 50,000 bytes (Note, not megabytes or kilobytes) You'll need to resize your picture. We have to set a size limit on pictures or else we'll run out of server space real fast.
To resize your picture, here's what we suggest
Go to: http://www.download.com/
Then in the drop down menu next to the little rectangle box below "search" pull the menu down to "downloads" ; in the box that below "search" type in, "graphic converters" then hit the green button that says "go."
It will take you to a page of graphic converters you can download that allow you to resize your picture. Most come with a free trial.
The download should come with user instructions as well.
How can I email a photo to a redneckandsingle.com member instead of uploading it to redneckandsingle.com?
Upgrade to Premium Redneck and send the member you wish to contact an email from the redneckandsingle.com email application (the cowboy hat).
Give the member your email address and ask them to email you their address so you can send them a photo.

You should then see your photos / video / and audio files. In the column to the right you'll see 2 boxes. Click on the one that reads "Remove" next to the picture(s) you wish to remove. Once you've done this, you'll then need to click the "update now" button. Your photo changes will be immediate, unless you add more photos. Then your profile will be re-submitted for approval.
Can you scan my photo?
Answer: Sorry we're just not set up for that service, if we did, we'd have to charge more than $14.95 monthly. We suggest ya ask a friend. Also many photo shops and photo departments of stores will for a fee.

It could be set to "hidden." Or his profile may be awaiting approval. Have the friend check by following the directions on our Problems? page for When I search, I can't find my profile. Why? If your friend discovers inside his account controls that the profile reads "Pending" that means it's awaiting approval and cannot be seen by other members. If you are trying to search for it manually (by sex for example) your friend may have also set his profile to the wrong sex and should modify it. (Have your friend see "how can I change my sex?" and other similar changes on the "Problems?" page at the bottom of our site.)
How long must I wait for a profile approval?
Generally, it’s within 48 hours. Though at times, it may take longer. We make no guarantees on turnaround times on profile approvals.
Why does it say Match is POOR under my profile?
You've likely accessed this by conducting a general search to see your profile or just viewing your profile inside your own account. It's poor because you have no criteria to match it against. This is irrelevant as when someone does a power search for you their results will be based on relevance and your match if relevant will not be poor.
How do I delete my profile but not delete my account?
Please login to your account. You'll then be sent to your home page, where it says Welcome Back (YOUR USER NAME).

Look at the links in the left hand column. Click on the bottom one, "Delete Me". You'll get a message confirming that's what you want to do. Accept it and complete deleting your registration and this will remove you from our records.
What do I have to do to get off your mailing list?
If you are receiving email from other members and which to not get those, then you'll need to set your account to "hidden."
To do this, please login to your account. You'll then be sent to your home page, where it says Welcome Back (YOUR USER NAME)

Look at the current profile status button. If it reads "visible" then, click the "hidden" button once. Now nobody can see your profile.
If you wish to not receive The Redneck Love Newsletter which is only sent to members who opt in upon registration to receive it, please log into your account. Then look in the right column and click on the link "Account Settings."
>From there, click on "update information"; Then look down where you see the box next to the word "Newsletter"; there is a check in that box if you receive the Newsletter. Click on the box to remove the check. Then click the "submit" button.
The second type of email is related to being a member (standard or premium) of our site. This is not optional as it is mail that relates to business matters (i.e. price changes etc...) not marketing matters.
If you wish to stop receiving all messages from RedneckAndSingle.com, then you'll need to remove yourself from our system.

Currently we are not running match reports to give you the best picks for most likely matches. This is not a feature we promote in any of our advertising. Chat, IM, Search, and e-Mail are the functions we promote and provide for our Premium users.
How to search for other single rednecks
From the home page (this is page that you enter once you’ve logged in your username and password; please note, for our purposes here, “the home page” is not the page you come to when you type “redneckandsingle.com” into your browser); first find the member you wish to contact. Generally this is done by conducting a “Power Search.” This is accomplished by clicking on the words, “Power Search” in the blue icon on the left side of the home page.
Or you may simply click on the icon next to My Redneck Search in the “My Tools” column on the same home page.
That will take you to a page reading, “Redneck Search”
Enter the appropriate criteria for conducting your search. You’ll notice on this page you have 3 ways of searching: Basic Search, Advanced Criteria and Search by UserName.
Once all the criteria is entered, then hit the “search” button on the display to submit the criteria.
This will take you to a page titled, “Search Results”; this page will display members and their profiles.
I can't find anyone in my search results. Where are all the single rednecks?
I tried 18 to 99 and nothing would come up... am I doing something wrong? Or is the site too new?
We had one guy accuse us of hiding all the rednecks in Texas and said he was going to call the local news channel to report it. We're not making this up.
Please detail the search you are trying to perform so that we can recreate it on our own computers to see first hand. We need your city, state, zip, the type of search you were trying to conduct, gender you're searching, age range, mile radius from the zip you're searching, whether you're searching photos only, every option listed in your search needs to be detailed so we can verify your results and offer you options.
And yes, we are a new site, though growing very, very fast. If ya don't see your ideal redneck today, you might tomorrow.
We suggest you hold off upgrading to the Premium Redneck package until you know for sure there are rednecks in your neck of the woods. As we don't offer refunds for this issue. Please re-read our warranty policy in the legal disclaimer you agreed to when signing up. We do not offer refunds if you don't find anyone in your area, as you can search for free prior to paying for a membership.
Zip code on search will not accept all of my zip code?
We need to add your zip to our geographic data base. Please email the town, state and zip where you want entered. And request in the header: "Please add zip to geo data base"; We do not offer refunds if you don't find your zip code in our database, as you can search for free prior to paying for a membership. But again, we will add it at your request, though adding it may take several days. In the meantime, we suggest using the zip code of an area near where you live.
How do I communicate with other rednecks?
To communicate with other members of RedneckAndSingle.com you have several options. Opening your window and yellin’ out, “Hey, I’m over here isn’t one them.”
1.
To communicate with other members, first you must be registered. This is the free Redneck Personality Profile process you go through upon arriving at the site at http://www.redneckandsingle.com . Once you’ve completed your profile and submitted it, it is next approved by RedneckAndSingle.com. This process is not instantaneous. Once you’re an approved “Standard Redneck,” to communicate with other members, you must log into the site. To log in, click the “Login” link at the top of the page. You will be taken to another page asking for your User Name and Password. Please enter the information and click the “Login Now” button at the bottom of the page.

5. The Hotlist - The first icon (graphic symbol) which resembles a sheet of paper with a “+” sign is the Hotlist icon. This saves a redneck member to your “Hotlist.” That’s just a way of keeping a running tab of the people you’re most interested in.
You can also pull up the hot list by clicking on the link toward the top middle of your page that reads "Hotlist."
And you can access it by a link on your home page. Please note that the icon of the list is different in the search results than from your home page. On the home page, to reference the hot list. please click on the first link titled, "My Redneck friends." This is actually the hotlist. We're looking into modifying this so that the hot list icon from the search page will replace this eventually.
6. Instant Redneck Messenger (Premium Members Only): The next icon you see is that of a redneck man wearing a bluejean jacket and with a green “+” sign. Click on this icon adds a member to your redneck messenger list. This relates to the Instant Redneck Messenger, an instant messenger application that allows you to correspond with other Premium Members who’ve set up their Instant Redneck Messenger accounts. You must be a Premium Redneck for the Instant Messenger program to work, as well as the people you wish to send Instant Redneck Messages to. The messenger is similar to email, but because it’s kept active on the user’s computer screen, it’s more easily accessible than email.
7. Email (Premium Members Only): Clicking onto the cowboy hat / envelope icon next to a user's profile allows you to send an email to a member’s internal email box. This is the common method for communicating with other members once you’ve established interest via mutual “flirt” messages described below. You should take this opportunity to also send them your external email address (the email address you have outside of redneckandsingle.com) so if the member you've contacted through a flirt signal (see flirt below) can reply to your email through regular email if he or she isn't a premium member.
You can also view your incoming mail by clicking on "My Mailbox" at the upper left or by clicking on the link in the left column under My Tools on your home page (The page that reads "Welcome back" at the top) that reads, "My Email"
For the Redneck email function to work you need to be a Premium Redneck Member.
To delete the emails in your inbox or outbox, check the box next to it under the Delete column on the My Mailbox page in your account. Then click the delete button at the bottom of the My Mailbox page. Once you've deleted your emails, they cannot be retrieved.
8. Flirt: (FREE) The heart icon sends a flirt to the redneck member. The member will receive the following message:
After seeing your profile, (YOUR USER NAME) has expressed an interest in
getting to know you a little better, but before purchasing a membership, they would like to know whether you are interested in them.
Flirts are a service for members to express an interest in one another before making a more in-depth response.
Responding could not be simpler! View (YOUR USER NAME’S) profile and if interested, send a flirt back by clicking the flirt link at the top of the profile page.
Please remember, the second you click onto the Heart icon, the flirt is sent. So don’t click on it unless you’re sure you want to send the flirt message to the corresponding members profile.
9. If the member responds to your flirt with a mutual flirt, you’ll receive a message in your RedneckAndSingle Mailbox that says “Someone Is Flirting With You.”d At this point, it’s pretty much up to you if you want to upgrade to Premium Redneck so you can send that member a more detailed email to their RedneckAndSingle E-mail box (an internal not external email). It’s how you begin a real dialogue with other members, hopefully leading to a planned in person meeting. Again, the email function is accomplished by clicking on the cowboy hat / envelope icon.
10. The last icon of the redneck in the bluejean jacket (NO “+” sign) allows you to tip a friend about this member.
Again, the description of these icons is as they appear next your search results members profiles. The icons appear in column form if you click on “Home” in the upper right hand part of any page.
11. Redneck Chat Room (Premium Members Only)
As a Premium Redneck, you’ll also have access to the Redneck Chat room. This feature allows you to meet with other Premium Redneck Members in an online environment and send messages instantly and view all members comments as they are transmitted. You’ll see the “Chat room: link at the top of your home page.
As RedneckAndSingle.com is such a new site, we’d recommend you schedule chat times with members whom you’d like to chat with. Otherwise, at this point, you’ll most likely find yourself in an empty Chat room.
You'll need Java to be loaded on your computer for the Chat room to function.

Instant redneck messenger allow you to have one-to-one dialogues instantly with other premium online users at redneckandsingle.com. Note, the Instant Redneck Messenger is only available to Premium Rednecks (paying members). Both folks at both ends of the communication must have a premium membership.
Adding A Redneck To Your Instant Redneck Messenger List From A Search.
Log into your account.
Conduct a search using our directions on the Problems? page of our site for conducting searches (steps 2-4 under, How do I communicate with other rednecks? on the Problems? page of our site.)
If you find someone in your search that you'd like to send an instant message to, then click on the icon of the man in the blue denim jacket with the plus symbol. That will add that user to your Instant Messenger list.
Opening Your Instant Redneck Messenger
Logged into your account, click on the link at the top of the site that reads "Home."
>From the home page (the page that reads Welcome back) click on the link in the left hand column that reads "Instant Redneck Messenger."
You can also access your Instant Messenger by clicking on the link "IM" at the far right near the top of your page.
The Redneck Instant Messenger (IM) window will open and has the title in the bar across the top, YOUR USERNAME 's "Friends."
In this window, it reads "Online" (number) and "Offline" (number); this information relates to the people on your Instant Messenger list and their current online status.
Clicking on the icon that reads, "View all users" will open a new window "Current users online" which will show you which users of the instant messenger are currently online. If you want to IM one of these folks, click on the + sign in this window next to the username you want to add. You should get an audible confirmation (if your speakers and volume of your computer are on) when the member has been added.
Quick Messages
To just send a quick message (25 characters or less) or to test the waters with someone before opening up a conversation, inside the Instant Messenger window titled YOUR USERNAME's "Friends" click on the arrow next to the bottom box in this window (the box right below "+ Add Friend"). Using the arrow, highlight the user name you wish to send a message to. Then click on the highlight to set the username so that it appears in that same box.
Then in the blank box right above (box above +Add Friend), type in the message you'd like to send. There is a limit of 25 characters when using this message box.
Your message can't be sent to folks if they are offline.
Adding A Friend To Your List While In The Instant Messenger
If you receive a message from someone while in the Instant Messenger application and wish to add this person to your Friends List, then click on the +Add Friend located between the two boxes in the main IM window (Your UserName)
Longer conversations
To send an instant message to someone, first confirm that the user is currently online by finding his username under (Online). If so, click on the green circle next to the user's name. Again, this person must have been added to your Instant Messenger list for his username to appear either online or offline. In other words, if you don't see the username of the person you wish to contact your main IM window titled YOUR USERNAME's "Friends" then this person hasn't been added to your list. To do this, go back and follow our directions for Adding A Redneck To Your Instant Redneck Messenger List From A Search.
This will open a new window titled (USERNAME) | Conversation.
You'll get a message saying "awaiting connection." Then you'll see a message saying "connection established." If this connection established doesn't ever appear then the user has just logged off or clicked "block user." Or you may have just had an interruption in your internet service and will need to log back in.
Once you get the message saying, "message established" then go to the bottom box of this main box and type in your message to the other user.
Once you've typed the message, hit the "Send" button.
Your text should now appear in the window above which will keep a running record of your dialogue in the instant messenger conversation.
The user on the other end will immediately get your message. If the recipient of your instant message chooses to reply, you should get a message back quickly. This message will appear as text inside the main window. If you don't get a message back in a minute or so, the user is either not at his or her computer (though still online) or the user has decided not to reply.
To continue a conversation, just type into the main bottom box as you did to send the first bit of dialogue and hit the "send" button.
Changing the appearance of your text
To change the color of your text or to use bold (B), italics (I), underline (U) and different fonts, click to the control just above the text box.
Sending happy faces and other emotes
Note that you can click on the box that reads happy and choose from the drop down menu of emotional icons to help give the recipient a feeling for your mood.
Instant Redneck Messenger is ideal for instant 1 to 1 chatting
If you prefer to chat with several folks at one time, then you need to go to the RedneckAndSingle chat room. You do this by click on the link at the top of your home page that reads "Chat room."
The other user does not have to have you added to their IM list to receive your message.
Delete friends or Block others from sending you messages
If you want to delete someone you've added to your IM list, then using the arrow next to the bottom box again, highlight the IM user and then click on the words, "Delete Friend" at the bottom of the box again.
If you want to block someone from sending you instant messages, then using the arrow next to the bottom box again, highlight the IM user and then click on the red circle with the line through it.
If the instant messenger window isn't working
You must have Java installed on your computer for the instant messenger to work.

My E-mail, Instant Messenger, Or The Chatroom has stopped working. Why?
Most likely, your subscription has expired and you are back to the standard membership. To see if this is the case, log in to your account. In the upper right of the home page (the page that reads, Welcome Back USERNAME) it will either say "Standard Member" or "Premium Member." If it says Standard Member your membership has expired and you need to renew in order for your premium functions to work.
Currently, we have set the membership so that it does not renew automatically beyond the initial term for which you sign up. To renew, see the next paragraph.
The chat room doesn't work with my computer. Why?
The chat room requires that you have java installed on your computer. If you don't see a coffee cup brewing as you try to access that page, you don't have java (or the right java version installed).
